Information We Collect
Anonymous Users
You can use the App without creating an account. For anonymous users, we create a temporary identifier to track your usage and generated portraits. This data is stored locally and on our servers. If you sign out without linking an account, you will permanently lose access to your portraits and data. This cannot be undone.
Account Information
When you link or create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide. If you sign up using Google or Apple authentication, we receive your basic profile information from those services. When using Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address, in which case Apple provides us with a private relay email. Linking an account preserves your anonymous data and associates it with your new account.
Pet Photos
When you use our Service, you upload photos of your pets. We store these images to process them through our AI generation system and to display them in your gallery. Your uploaded photos are private and only accessible to you.
Generated Portraits
We store the AI-generated portraits created from your pet photos so you can access, download, and manage them in your dashboard.
Payment Information
In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not store your payment credentials on our servers. We receive and store only transaction confirmations, purchase receipts, and subscription status associated with your account. Apple handles all payment processing in accordance with their privacy policy.
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use our App, including your device type, operating system version, and information about how you interact with our Service. This helps us improve our Service and troubleshoot issues.
Device Permissions
Our App may request access to certain features on your device:
- Camera: To take photos of your pets directly within the App
- Photo Library: To select existing photos of your pets for portrait generation
- Push Notifications: To notify you when your portraits are ready or for care reminders (optional)
You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service, including generating AI portraits from your pet photos
- Process transactions and manage your subscription
- Send you transactional emails, such as purchase confirmations and account notifications
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities

Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
Supabase (Database & Authentication)
We use Supabase to store your account information, generation history, and manage authentication. Supabase is compliant with SOC 2 Type II and GDPR.
Apple (Authentication & Payments)
We offer Sign in with Apple for account creation and login. All in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store payment system. Your payment information is handled entirely by Apple and never touches our servers. Apple's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Google (Authentication)
We offer Sign in with Google as an authentication option. When you choose this method, we receive basic profile information from Google to create your account.
AI Image Generation
We use AI services to generate artistic portraits from your pet photos. Your photos are transmitted to these services solely for the purpose of generating your portraits. We do not grant these services any rights to use your images for training or other purposes beyond generating your requested portraits.
Cloudflare R2 (Image Storage)
Your uploaded photos and generated portraits are stored securely in Cloudflare R2, which provides enterprise-grade security and privacy protections.
Vercel (Website Hosting)
Our website at vibepets.app is hosted on Vercel. The mobile App connects to our backend services for data storage and processing.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Your uploaded photos and generated portraits are stored indefinitely so you can access them at any time.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to retain certain information for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or other legitimate business purposes.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
- Encryption of data at rest
- Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Secure authentication through industry-standard protocols
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
